Clean, warm and welcoming lodge,

点评：We booked a 4 night break last minute for an Oak waterside spa lodge - and then looked at the reviews, to be honest I was a bit worried as whenever we book a ‘luxury room’ we always seem to have the view of the bins.
We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked up to our lodge, at first we thought there had been a mistake as the lodge was in a beautiful location, looking over the lake with a hot tub to the side.
On entering the lodge it was lovely and warm, clean and the table was all set ready for a meal.
We found the lodge comfortable and welcoming, the children loved seeing the ducks and geese on the lake which our veranda stood over.
The bar area was busy and also welcoming.
We went to The Watermill for a family meal which was delicious, I loved the open kitchen set up, watching the chefs preparing and cooking fresh food, definitely no microwave meals there!
The children went fishing and the staff there were also friendly and helpful, setting up rods and taking time to explain and show us how to go on, we even managed to catch a few fish.
Swimming pool was warm, clean and not too busy, great that we could just turn up and swim without having to pre-plan a time slot.
The end of each day was our time to relax and unwind in the hot tub, it was hot and clean, checked daily and worked fine.
Will definitely return, we loved the lodge we had.
