Beautiful scenery and well worth a visit
Kjenndalsbreen Glacier的点评
点评：My wife and I visited the Kjenndalsbreen glacier as part of an excursion with Olden Adventures, which included a scenic cruise on the beautiful Lovatnet (Loen Lake), waffles at Kjenndalstova lodge and then a trip to see the glacier.
After the refreshment break at Kjenndalstova we boarded a double decker open top bus that took us to a parking area close to the glacier. From there it was a short 10-minute stroll along a pretty path by the river until we reached the viewing point for the glacier.
The forested areas alongside the path revealed many trees bent in one direction from the many landslides and avalanches. There were also boulders there which would have fallen from the mountains during these landslides, and our guide told us about a few of the fatal events where the impact of falling rocks caused waves that destroyed all the houses in the valley.
The view of the glacier was well worth it. There was an information sign showing how the view had changed over the years with the gradual melting of the glacial ice. We loved our trip here, very memorable.
