点评：Filipa was excellent before the trip at helping us get organized and made a point of staying in touch with us while were on the trip. So, excellent personalized service. The small inns and hotel were in stunning locations, they were all beautiful places with very friendly and welcoming staff that were experiences themselves. Packed lunches were generous too. The drivers were very personable and we learned a lot about the region from them as we drove.
The cycling was through amazingly beautiful country throught places that become truly a life experience. Some of the cycling routes are very adventurous on some trails through forested areas, past ancient ruins and tracks through vineyards, occasionally it made wayfinding a little bit challenging but we made it! I rode a pedal bike and my spouse had an e-assist bike. I would suggest that you upgrade for the e-assist bike, the climbs on rough ground are doable on the pedal bike but it would have been more comfortable to have the e-assist. Yeah it rained, but we figured it out!
The company does a very good job of providing the kit you need like helmets, bike bags, a pump, bike tool and lights. If you prefer your helmet and pedal / shoes take them, everything else is there for you.
I'm glad we took this tour versus the big company tours. I think we saw and experienced much more of the countryside. We could feel the pride of our hosts.
