点评:Our trip to the Outer Hebredies was wild, windy and wet so coming across this hub with a bit of everything kept us busy for a few hours. Exhibitions, a gift shop, (the post office too) and a cafe. I think I spent a good half an hour exploring the books on sale. It may be a small shop but it has an awful lot packed in to suit all sorts of people.
The cafe was really nice. We sat with a view out of a window where we could see how much rain was falling and if it was blowing sideways , backwards or whatever whilst being warm and well fed .
Soup and a roll, and soup and a toastie, pot of tea and a coffee. Homemade soup and in a big bowl too. Prices were very reasonable considering you are on an island, I expected higher prices or smaller portions or lower quality but no, well worth what we paid.
It was interesting realising the arts centre had such an array on offer for studying. The cafe is used for music and poetry recitals and there is a lot of things going on there so take a look if you are in the area.
The Islands need your support in these community venues, community hubs and other local businesses.
