Amazing work for the animals
Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary的点评
点评：I spent a month here being a vet intern. I can not even explain how much I have learned in this short period of time and I really wish I could have stayed longer.
The people here are amazing and they would do anything for the animals, as well as in the sanctuary as in the clinic and nursery. They make sure every animals gets the right diet and also enrichment to stimulate wild behaviour.
In this area, a lot of wild animals get injured due to humans (cars, domestic animal attacks, etc). The people at alturas make sure to do everything in their power to help those animals and release them back into the wild when possible. Orphaned animals are nurtured until they are strong enough. This means that the volunteers and staff do a lot of night shifts to take care of the babies. So much work is put into this and fortunately succes stories come from this.
When animals can not be released into the wild anymore due to medical or behavioral circumstances, but can still have a good quality of life, they will get the best care in the sanctuary.
