Spitfire experience at Church Fenton . East Leeds airfield

点评：At the weekend my husband got the opportunity to fly a Spitfire. It has long been an ambition and top of his wish list since he was a little boy.
We went to East Leeds airfield , Church Fenton airbase for our experience.
It was such a wonderful day.
We started off being welcomed by all the ground crew and shown around the sight before my husband went off to get kitted out in his flight suit. There is a safety briefing and instruction given by the crew and a specific instructor allocated to you .
Once your time slot arrives it's time to get into the plane and take off.
Simon the Pilot was brilliant and talked Gary my husband through everything before he let him take control of the plane. He flew over York and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. He got to see York Minster from 3000 feet and did loops, barell rolls and had one of the best experiences of his life.
Its costly but if you ever get the opportunity to do it ....go for it
A once in a lifetime experience and such a great crew, all of which were welcoming warm and friendly.
