点评:We were staying in Salamanca and looking for a day trip that could be accessed via public transport and chose Ciudad Rodrigo. First of all- you don’t need more than 1-2 hours here. We made the mistake of buying bus tickets in advance for 6 hrs in this sleepy little town. Everything is shut after 2pm including the tourist sites like the Cathedral and City Hall on a Saturday during peak tourism season 😀. We’ve been traveling several weeks through Spain and hadn’t encountered this level of nothing being open.
There’s also not even a shop to buy water other than down by the bus stop so come prepared. Ok to walk around for an hour and observe the sights from the outside but this is not worth coming out of your way for. Had lunch in the Plaza Mayor and walked around a bit and then just sat trying to avoid the summer heat until we could take the bus back.
