Beautiful and Peaceful Lake Area

点评：Klontalersee is about an hour away from Zurich and is a nice place if you want to get away from it all. Very few people frequent this area and we only saw a couple of people when we visited in late October with the fall scenery. There are a few hotels, campgrounds and restaurants in the area but some seem to be open depending on the season.
The first viewpoint we visited was just beside Schwammhöhe restaurant which you can drive to and it gives a high viewpoint on the eastern point of the lake. We took the winding road down to get to the shore of the lake.
The lake is located about an hour southeast of Zurich and it is recommended to visit in the morning on a clear day to get the best experience. You may even want to consider camping here if you have the time but if not about an hour in the area will do.
