点评：We visited yesterday as a family of 5, grandparents, daughter and two grandchildren aged 11 and 14. Although the set up is clearly aimed predominantly at younger children, we found plenty to enjoy and learn about. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable . The meet the animal experience included a one year old barn owl and a beautifully marked corn snake. For younger children having the experience of stroking the so soft owl plumage was probably enough but older children who are interested and curious could ask questions about the natural habitat of the animals, whether or not they are endangered and how they came to be at Hayrick. We all loved the peacock who was really strutting his stuff in the vain hope of attracting the attention of the peahens! The lunch was very tasty - proper home made meat pie and chips and I ended the visit by buying some meat from the butchers. One suggestion that I would make is, if possible to have some QR codes by some of the enclosures. For example, the Macaws come from South America, so it might be of interest for children to learn where that is.
