The best Northern Ireland Guide/Driver we could have wanted!

点评：We were exceedingly fortunate to have JiMi McKeown as our driver & guide from 15-20 May 2024 during our trip to Northern Ireland. JiMi did so much to make our trip so special.
JiMi was a complete professional at all times. He was courteous, knowledgable, and provided impeccable service on our travels, not to mention being immaculately dressed even when we were in hiking clothes.
At times during our trip, JiMi offered alternatives to our planned schedule that enhanced our experiences immeasurably. For example, our day trip around the Ards peninsula was improved when he proposed that we take the small car ferry across and travel a different route between Mount Stewart and our Copelands Distillery tasting tour. Oh, and he introduced us to his friend, Lady Rose Lauritzen, at Mount Stewart.
JiMi made excellent restaurant suggestions for lunch and one day, when we wanted something other than another restaurant meal, he took us to Belfast's famous chip shop, John Longs, for fish and chips, which we happily ate in C.S. Lewis park.
On our private tour of Belfast, JiMi and our guide, Collette, collaborated on locations and routes to add stops that JiMi suggested, like the Sunflower pub.
JiMi arranged with his friend, George, for us to see the US Ranger Museum in Carrickfergus. As we were both US military, this was a really special and unexpected experience, thanks to JiMi and his familiarity with people all across Northern Ireland.
He shared stories of his life in Northern Ireland and he used that knowledge to provide us with a unique perspective and experiences that we do not believe we could have had with a different guide/driver.
The van was immaculate; JiMi was always early to meet us and he provided water and snacks on each trip. He was an excellent photographer as well, happily taking pictures of us at various points along our travels, including the Giants Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede bridge.
He particularly enjoys helping people with genealogical travels through the area so he made my husband's trip special when we stopped at three places related to my husband's ancestors. Additionally, with information provided by our tour company in advance, JiMi did advance trips, on his own, so he could help pinpoint people and places for my husband's research.
Really, JiMi made our Northern Ireland experience exceptional, including ordering the weather to be perfect for our entire trip!
