点评:Be aware that the ‘carriage’ ride is tractor drawn, not horse drawn. There is a photo of the tractor on the website, so that is there, but even so, you should realize that there isn’t really any commentary during the ride itself.
The tractor pulls
you along a winding path to a beach where you get out and walk for your allotted time - not distinctly related to Anne of Green Gables. The ride back takes you around the main building (which you could walk around) and that’s it. The entry fee to the very small museum is not included in the $200 (cash only - weird, should have been the first clue) fee. The woman running the museum and carriage ride seems ‘carny’esque’ and is quite pushy. She was super rude when I candidly said that I felt the $200 should include the museum tour. She wound up giving us a ‘complimentary’ visit and when I actually tried to decline (she made me ridiculously uncomfortable), she literally grabbed my arm, pulled me aside and hissed, ‘don’t you know what complimentary means?’ Weirdest encounter ever - she’s unhinged and clearly didn’t want me to indicate to the new people arriving that the carriage ride wasn’t worth the $$.
Go to the museum, see what you think about the sales pitch, but save yourself the $200 and hit a free beach.
