Poor customer service - felt like an inconvenience

点评：This is truly a beautiful store. We loved browsing the huge selection and visiting the friendly shop dog. We spent about an hour looking around and had chosen several items for ourselves, our children, and even a gift for a friend. While the prices were higher than we typically spend, we had decided this would be our souvenir stop and were excited to support a local business.
Unfortunately, our experience with customer service changed that excitement.
When we entered, the employee at the register remained focused on her book and did not acknowledge us. While that alone wasn’t a major issue, it set a somewhat unwelcoming tone.
Later, while waiting to check out, our 6-year-old son was proudly holding the items he had picked out. The employee abruptly took the items from his hands and moved them closer to her. It felt unnecessarily harsh and left a negative impression.
While I was putting some items back, my daughter’s necklace came apart and the gemstone fell beneath a display table. We searched for several minutes but couldn’t find it, so I informed the employee. When I explained what had happened, her responses felt dismissive, and she seemed frustrated by having to help locate the missing piece. The gemstone was eventually found exactly where we had indicated.
By that point, the experience had become uncomfortable enough that my husband and I decided not to purchase the items we had originally selected. We still bought the special treasures our children had chosen, but we took the rest of our business elsewhere.
We genuinely enjoy supporting local businesses and were excited to make purchases here. The store itself is beautiful and has a wonderful selection. However, feeling like an inconvenience rather than a welcomed customer made it difficult to justify spending more money here. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as a warmer and more welcoming customer experience would make a significant difference.
