点评:This place was a great little find! I came across it online while we were in the Tamar Valley for a couple of days. I sent a text message enquiring if we could do a tasting and platter today (Sunday) and received quick response from Adrian it was not a problem - online they prefer 48hours notice for a platter as it’s all local produce. Was impressed already with the quick service and accommodation. Arrived just after 11am and parked the RV out the back as the front parks were full. Plenty of parking to turn it around but would not advise a caravan. The winery inside was packed with people and platters - the tables looked like colourful works of art. We happily sat outside over looking the vineyards under a large covered patio with plenty of assorted seating. Offered overhead heating but did not need it. Gorgeous view. The cashmere blankets were divine and put one over my knees just because they were so soft. Enjoyed the wine flight and the commentary with each wine. Adrian and his wife are consummate hosts. Purchased a bottle of their Adeline Syrah (Vintage 2022 for $45) and even tried a tipple of their botanical gin which was insane. Really wanted a bottle but it was our first day literally in Tassie and was trying to be a bit sedate :P the true standout of the day was the local produce platter. Never had anything like it and I’ve eaten a lot of platters and love preparing grazing boards at home. This platter was jam packed with love and colour and all things local to the winery. The Forager freeze dried blackberries were weirdly awesome - perfect berry popcorn. The pate was gorgeous, loved all the cheeses and the housemade honeycomb was lollyshop worthy. It was a smashing platter and filled hubby and I easily which is no mean feat. Been here a few days now and had a couple more platters and winery experiences but Loira was a standout on our first day. Will be thinking of this place for a long time. Tonight we are at Coles Bay and intend to sit and watch the sunset on the Hazards over our Loira Syrah. Thanks guys x
