Virgin Balloon Flights - Taunton的点评
点评：My children bought me this balloon flight for my 60th birthday.
You go online to book a slot, then you ring after 11pm the night before, listen to a recorded message which will let you know if the flight will be proceeding, (this is weather dependent). So after 4 separate attempts and several months later I struck lucky last week.
Was informed to arrive at the take off site at 6am sharp. We were greeted by Steve & Colin who were the pilot and ground crew (AKA The Montgolfier brothers).
There were 17 passengers (basket will hold 18 + pilot) we were asked to help with the setting up of the basket and balloon.
Steve the pilot was very clear in his communication about safety and the flight, I found both the Montgolfier brothers very professional, but also quite easy going, nice guys.
We took off on time around 7am, had the most wonderful flight over the Somerset levels, just an incredible experience. I was slightly nervous about the landing, as the basket can sometimes tip on it's side, but Steve landed it as smooth as a babies bum, absolutely lovely.
Colin had all this time been chasing us in a minibus through the country lanes, he managed to find us quite quickly, we all helped pack the balloon up, then Colin drove us all back to our vehicles at the starting point.
This was a wonderful experience which I would thoroughly recommend this experience for a special occasion or for someone you love.
