Very "touristy" experience, not what we were looking for
Cancun Adventures - Luxury Sailing & Snorkeling的点评
点评：Our main issue with this trip was just how "tourist" it was. We booked a "luxury catamaran" cruise via a third party agency, expecting this to be on a private catamaran with under 25 people on board. However that was a fault of the third party and not Cancun Adventures. However we were still disappointed with the trip.
We were expecting that we would have a decent amount of time to snorkel however, what we were not expecting was to have to hold onto a rope and be pushed along like sheep behind the leader. We are all certified divers and had I known that the "snorkel" was actually going to be more akin to a 20 minute route march in the water, I would never have booked this trip. I was expecting there to be two stops but the second stop merely consisted of a 20 minute splash around in 7ft deep water off the Playa del Norte for which I was obliged to wear a buoyancy aid which made it impossible to swim. At all times all they really seemed interested was getting people back to the boat so they could make their schedule on time.
We were then dropped off with 3 hours to kill on Isla Mujeres which was the most ghastly tourist trap with people approaching you every two minutes trying to flog you total tat.
The "luxury lunch" made with "local ingredients" was a very large sandwich.
The crew were really friendly and if you don't have much experience of snorkelling and diving in the caribbean and aren't too bothered about swimming in the sea then the experience of the catamaran itself was lovely. My husband had a great time kicking back with a G&T wiht the wind in his hair. However, as a keen scuba diver, I prefer my boat trips rather less regimented and quieter.
