Is Hospitality Worth the Money?

点评：Working most weekends, visiting to watch the County is a rarity, and after a tough few months, we (my wife and I) decided to take the hospitality option and spoil ourselves!
Booking was easy, personal touch with a club rep on site just a few days before the match who was very nice and helpful. We then arrived just after 1pm and were given a lanyard, match tickets and directed to the suite upstairs. Modern, warm and clean we were spoilt to a great view of the players warming up on the pitch (photo 1), a solid carvery (photo 2) and pricey but decent drinks (£14 for a large wine and a pint).
Everyone was genuinely helpful, approachable, and an ambassador for the club.
We were then offered our seats or a space in a box(!?). Not sure how often this comes around, but we snapped up the box (photo 3) and enjoyed what was the only dampener, a nil nil draw!
Considering tickets are a teeth clenching £24 these days for div 2 footy and hospitality/box was £60, the question of "worth it" comes down to, the £36 difference for a carvery, dessert and feeling a bit special. The answer is yes, it's worth it. The experience was great. We missed the atmosphere of the Hazell Stand, but for novelty, the warmth and feeling a bit special, I would recommend doing this once in a while for sure.
Next game, we will be back in the stands, but we will certainly also be back in hospitality one day too.
