点评：My impressions of Cana Island & its lighthouse are historically biased, as I first set foot on the Island over 60 years ago while on a family vacation - a tradition that became annual (with frequent visits) in the subsequent 15 years, plus about a half-dozen returns through my adulthood. But with the exception of the modern day visitor parking situation (necessary to accommodate the seasonal crowds but requiring patience to secure one of the too-few marked spaces on the lot & roadside) and the option of transport to/from the Island via a tractor-drawn multi-passenger wagon (only in service when the causeway is covered by Lake Michigan waters) and the visitor center/gift shop with an adjacent pit toilet/latrine building, Cana Island looks & feels like it did in the early 1960s. The bonus addition that makes the Island a must-see Door County attraction - and which seems to split the concensus of ratings among web reviewers - is the fee-based self-tour of the Cana Island Lighthouse, which includes access via the 97 spiral steps inside the tower to the outdoor observation deck where you will be treated to amazing bird's-eye views of the property & the surrounding Lake Michigan.

Presuming you are physically & emotionally able to ascend and descend the spiral staircase (there are several resting spaces along the way & a handrail for safety), the admission price is definitely worth the experience. But if you & your party find yourselves hesitant to pay what is truly a bargain for the history lessons inside the ground-level keeper's house & the spectacular views from the 360-degree observation deck, then scratch Cana Island off your leisure destination list & choose another tourist attraction among the scores scattered around the Door Peninsula.
