点评：If you’re a golfer with a side interest in mountaineering, or maybe a mountaineer fancying a bit of golf between peaks, Glencruitten is the course for you!
This is where Britain’s newest British golf star Bob MacIntyre learnt the game and where his dad tends the greens.
How that great course architect James Braid managed to fashion 18 holes out of this craggy piece of woodland perched above Oban is a wonder to behold.
We did indeed behold, clambering around a course left very soggy the day after Storm Aimee finally passed through, taking quite a few trees with her.
You might think a course that includes 11 par 3’s and covers mere 4,200 yards would be a pushover? We suggest you’d change your mind by the time you stagger off this pretty hillside with more blind holes than you’ve ever (not) seen in a round of golf ever!
But it’s a beautiful vista to chance your luck around and if you do, we hope you have as much fun as we had!
