Elephants in Bukit Lawang

点评：The best jungle trip ever!!!
We booked 10 days to see elephants. It was our second trip to Bukit Lawang, the first was in 2019. At the first trip we had a guide who did not know how to find animals, for example elephants. It was nice but to expensiv for nothing.
In august 2022 it was totaly different.
The best trip manager and guide, Kedito (+62 853-7245-6941), organized everthing. We had six people with us, trackers, carriers, cooky and two guides. Two of our trackers searched for the elephants two weeks in advance, so we are able to intercept their route. We followed the elephants five days and than we saw them crossing the river and in the jungle, only 15 meters away. It was an incredible adventure for all of us. In the last five years there was nobody, no tourist, no native and no guide who saw the elephants.
We all were lucky and tired, but we four German tourists had problems trekking with our constandly wet feet.
