点评：Newton House near Llandeilo is definitely worth a stop. It's a gorgeous 17th-century mansion hidden inside an 800-acre estate that got a full Victorian Gothic glow-up in the 1850s, complete with impressive stone turrets.
The vibe inside is refreshingly laid-back—they've set it up to feel like 1912. Outside, the parkland (partly designed by Capability Brown) is a massive nature reserve filled with ancient oak trees, fallow deer, and the famous White Park cattle.
It’s also known as one of the most haunted National Trust spots in Wales. Keep an eye out for random cold spots, eerie footsteps, or the faint smell of pipe tobacco courtesy of "Walter the Butler"! Price was free as a NT member. Spent about 90 mins there. Never had time to visit the castle unfortunately.
