点评：A true reminder of the good old days, and the only technical monument of its kind in the Czech Repubic, is the handmade paper mill in Velké Losiny, where traditional paper production has continued uninterrupted since the late 16th century.
The basic guided tour (admission: 200 CZK for adults) lasts about one hour and is divided into three parts. The first an introduction to the history of papermaking and the explanation of the traditional production process. Then a short 10-minute film providing additional context. And the final part, a visit to the working paper mill, where you can observe the actual production of handmade paper from linen and cotton. The entire process is managed by a skilled team of 11 workers. Be advised that during the visit you have to climb up and down stairs.
Pictures taking is allowed throughout the tour. After the tour, you can purchase handmade paper sheets and products directly from the mill’s shop.
The ticket itself has a beautifully design and makes a nice keepsake, but it is not printed on handmade paper.
