点评：If you ever get an opportunity to visit Rio Bec, take it. You'll be in for an adventure of a lifetime. The sites are deep in the jungle and are only accessible by travelling along a muddy 10km trail accessible only by 4x4.
Like the other reviewers who had a fantastic trip, my first step was to get in touch with Humberto Dzib (+5219831025699). Humberto is one of the founders of Veinte de Noviembre, an artisanal community with a population mostly of Mayan ethnic descent that is situated 20km east of Xpujil and 5km south of the 186 highway and serves as the gateway to the Rio Bec archaeological zone.
The day started in Xpujil. Humberto came and collected me from my hotel, and together, we drove to his home before climbing onto a pair of quad bikes and heading out into the jungle.
We had a quick stop at the entrance to the reserve, where Humberto explained how the community uses funds raised by the tours and artisanal projects towards the conservation and preservation of the reserve. 5km later, the majestic sight of Rio Bec B emerging from the jungle towered before me.
In all, I spent around 8 amazing hours in the Jungle with Humberto, we visited Rio Bec B, D & C - a cluster of submerged ruins within walking distance of each other, before remounting our quads to visit Rio Bec A, Dzibil Tun, Nakan Chana, Ramonal, Chanaa and Okolwitz.
It was the highlight of my three-week trip around the Yucatan Peninsula.
