点评：The Zion Neolog Synagogue is one of the highlights of Oradea and deserves far more visitors than it gets. Standing right on the bank of the Crișul Repede, its great dome dominates the riverfront, and the Moorish-revival exterior is striking even before you step inside.
The interior is genuinely stunning — beautifully restored painted decoration, elegant ironwork, and light pouring in under the dome. It is one of the largest synagogues in this part of Europe, and the scale really does take you by surprise.
Beyond the architecture, the exhibition on the Jewish community of Oradea is thoughtfully presented and deeply moving. It tells the story of a community that once shaped this city, and it gives the space a weight that goes well beyond a sightseeing stop.
Entry is inexpensive, the staff are welcoming, and you can comfortably see everything in under an hour. It sits in the middle of Oradea's beautifully restored Art Nouveau centre, so it fits easily into a day of walking the city.
