点评：Our trip to Haytor Rocks and the nearby Haytor Quarry was one of the absolute highlights of our Devon stay. The whole area is breathtaking and incredibly easy to reach, making it perfect for families, walkers, and anyone who loves dramatic scenery.
Haytor Rocks
Haytor is simply spectacular. The granite tors rise above Dartmoor’s rolling landscape, offering amazing panoramic views in every direction. The walk to the top is manageable for most people, and once you’re up there, the scenery is unforgettable — sweeping moorland, rugged rock formations, and miles of open sky. A perfect photo spot!
Haytor Quarry
Just a short walk from the main tor, Haytor Quarry feels like a secret location tucked away on the moor. The old granite quarry is peaceful, atmospheric, and rich with history. The sheltered pool, the remains of the old workings, and the wildlife around the area make it an unexpectedly beautiful stop. It’s quieter than the main tor, which gives it a wonderfully tranquil feel.
Why It’s Worth Visiting
• Easy to access from the road and car park
• Beautiful walking trails for all abilities
• A mix of dramatic landscapes and peaceful hidden spots
• Perfect for photography, picnics, and exploring
We stayed at Finlake Reosrt & Spa via Devon Holidays Finlake, and this was easy to get to from the resort -Haytor Rocks and the Quarry are absolute must-visits.
