A rich Seam of Golding Discovered in Them Hills

点评：This was the second time we had been to Golding. It's such a delightful setting, winter or summer. I'm not even sure why I'm saying this, and it possibly sounds silly, but it came as a complete surprise that such a winery could be found tucked away in Lobethal of all places. Goldings is world class in our opinion and it is a beautiful surprise to come across this hidden gem (to us at least). We had never heard of them before a deal came up on Cudo which, I guess, is the whole point of such deals. It truly delivers on all fronts; location/setting, food and the casually professional service.
After starters of home-made bread (I'm coeliac and the bread was glorious) with garlic & olive oil we shared one small and one large plate of our choosing followed by a shared dessert. All were well catered for in the gluten free department with no loss of quality or taste. I truly thought I'd died and gone to heaven! We had sides of roast/fried potatoes and if a kitchen can make the humble spud as delicious as these were then it deserves the highest accolades. Compliments should rightly go to the chef and cooking staff for making such delightfully presented and superbly tasty food.
A word of warning, Goldings is one of those rare kitchens that delivers excellent food with very good sized servings. You would be wise to share if you are doing the 4 courses instead of a dish each and, in that sense, they're shooting themselves in the foot. It obviously works for them though so, I say to them, please keep doing it!
We could not suggest a thing that could have enhanced the experience, other than maybe having Paul McCartney playing at our table, which is not too much to ask for, surely! So, a big thank you and a thousand accolades to Goldings for showing how it can be done. Highly recommended!

提醒一句，Goldings 是少数能提供美味佳肴且份量充足的厨房之一。如果你做的是四道菜而不是每道菜，那么分享是明智的，从这个意义上说，他们是在搬起石头砸自己的脚。但这显然对他们有用，所以我对他们说，请继续这样做！
我们无法提出任何可以增强体验的建议，除了让保罗·麦卡特尼在我们的餐桌上表演，这当然不是过分的要求！所以，非常感谢 Goldings 向我们展示了如何做到这一点，并向他们致以一千个赞誉。强烈推荐！
