Disappointing compared to last year
Christmas Island Visitor Centre的点评
点评：We visited the Christmas Island Visitor Centre last year and again on this trip, and unfortunately it’s gone downhill a bit in that time.
Last year there was a much bigger variety of lovely gifts, shirts and souvenirs to purchase. This time the range felt quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. It would be fantastic to see more local artists’ crafts and handmade items for sale here – it would really showcase the island and support the community.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but many items on display weren’t priced. I had to keep going back up to the counter to ask how much things were, which got a little frustrating and could easily be improved.
The other main issue was the toilets in the visitor centre, which could really do with a thorough clean. For a place that’s often the first stop for visitors, it doesn’t give the best impression.
Overall, the centre still has potential and the staff are lovely, but it would be great to see the gift selection improved, clearer pricing on items, and better attention to cleanliness.
