Very interesting tour, nice guest house and fabulous hospitality in fascinating landscape!

点评：The exploration of Puerto Cristal is a must-see in the Puerto Rio Tranquillo region but probably not too well known.
Puerto Cristal was a mining town in the mid-to late 20th century and was very advanced in modern comforts at a time when all of the Aysén region was still in early development.
The trip to Puerto Cristal is only by boat (the only covered passenger boat in the area) and Luis, whose project itbis to bring tourism to this national monument will be your guide and personal caretaket.
We spent the night (the guesthouse has been renovated to be able to accomodate 8 guests fairly comfortably and with the most stunning views of the Lago General Carrera) and were very well and lovingly taken care of him with home-cooked food and baked bread and cake etc during out stay.
The tour around the old mining town and plants was also guided by him very expertly and interestingly.
Our tour was coupled with a tour to the marble caves of Puerto Tranquillo and Puerto Sanchez.
We van highly recommend this excursion and also to spend the night!
