Big Head Wines的点评
点评：We were enjoying an afternoon of wine tasting in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area and were referred to Big Head due to their dry wines.
After having been to two other wineries with good wine and excellent staff, we were very disappointed with Big Head. It was clear the staff didn't want to be there and didn't like their jobs.
The gentleman who helped us at the stand-up tasting area clearly had better things to do. We tried to engage him in conversation, but this was a dead end.
He quickly set up the glasses and immediately began listing a litany of information about each wine as fast as possible. My husband had gone to the rest room and I had to ask the employee to wait until he got back.
Instead of pouring the wine, describing it and letting us try, he poured all tastings, spit out the details and stood back with a bored look on his face. When I asked him to repeat the information, about the particular wine we were trying at the moment, we got a big sigh and the information rattled off as if he were being timed. He had no other customers at the bar.
He was also very difficult to understand and used verbiage we've never heard before. We had to ask what he meant. We've wine tasted for years all over the country and this was the worst.
We didn't end up buying any bottled wine. This was a very poor experience all around. A big part of wine tasting is the hospitality. Even so-so wine can be sold by a friendly, enthusiastic employee. We didn't find any such employees here.
