The Craic was Great!

点评：We went to the Irish Session yesterday afternoon at BDQ Taproom & Kitchen, Puivert where a group of musicians were to be playing traditional Celtic music. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door by the proprietor who welcomed us inside where we had a table booked. The bar was full of chattering customers and then the musicians began to play. As an Irish girl, I can tell you that the music was fabulous and very authentic! While we listened, we enjoyed slow cooked Irish Stew made with Stout at only 10€ per person and it was really delicious. Indeed, there wasn’t quite enough for the six of us and the lovely landlady produced another terrine of steaming hot stew! There were three or four beers on tap and a range of different bottled beers produced locally in Chalabre. Those that we tried went down very well indeed! If you don’t like beer, then there are cocktails and wine too. The pizza oven in the kitchen, behind the bar area, gave the room a warm, cosy feeling as people started to laugh and jig to the music. What a lovely, friendly, lively atmosphere, with a mixture of nationalities enjoying the craic together! This was our first visit to BDQ Taproom & Kitchen and it certainly won’t be our last! Thank you Paul and Jaynie Bayliss. We’ll be back!!
