点评:We were scammed by Aloha Resort which was right next door to the Whale Shark Tour in Oslob. Let me begin.
We took a bus at around 4am (292 pesos/person) from Cebu City to Oslob Whale Watching/Swimming Tour. We arrived about 7:30am. The bus conductor dropped us off at Aloha Hotel. He told us that this was the entrance to the tour (a lie). There, we met a guy named Narida (Aloha Resort Employee) who guided us. He could have easily told us that the Whale Shark place was right next door. He works for Aloha Resort which we were totally unaware because it was our first time. He charged us 700 pesos a piece (which he stated that the extra 200 pesos would be for an Environmental Fee). Then he walked us right next door to the tour. I knew something was strange because he asked us to go straight to the listening ceremony prior to the tour which was a red flag. Then as we approached the ticket counter at the Whale Shark place, a huge sign was in front of the window that stated,”Pay right here for tickets”. Once we boarded the boat, my friend asked the other tourist, “How much did you pay?”. They all stated,”It’s 500 pesos.” There was no Environmental Fee because it’s included in the price of 500. If you want to swim, you can rent their equipment and pay more. After the 30 minute adventure, We went next door to Alona Resort and asked Narida to return the extra 600 pesos because it was 3 of us. Narida insisted that the Whale Shark representative was lying. Once he refused to return the money, we talked to the Tourism Authorities which were located right at the counter near the Whale Shark place. The Tourism Authorities notified the police which was onsite also. They went next door and asked Narida (Alona Representative) to explain what happened. We all (me, my friends, police, tourism authorities, and Narida) entered a room at the Whale Shark place. Narida changed his story and told the police that the extra 200/person was the resort fee. However, he only wrote a receipt for 1400 pesos (100 pesos Senior citizen discount for one of the individuals which totaled 1400 pesos. We paid him 2000 pesos total. After the hassle, the police asked him to return the 600 pesos back to us. He did. (Narida is a guy)
I know it’s only 600 pesos but it’s the moral aspect. Stop cheating the foreigners!
在那里,我们遇到了一位名叫 Narida(阿罗哈度假村员工)的人,他指导了我们。 他们走到隔壁要求 Narida(Alona 代表)解释发生的事情。
