点评:We picked up the Noddy Train just outside our hotel and used it to travel to Hannibal Park (see my separate review on that). It cost 7 Dinar per person, and we weren’t charged for the kids on the outbound journey. The driver helpfully let us know when we’d reached Hannibal Park — otherwise, it wasn’t very obvious, and he would have just kept going.
We also took the train back later that evening, but this time the driver charged us for our 5-year-old. We asked if we could stay on the train for the full loop around the Medina, but he told us we had to get off at our hotel stop. About 10–15 minutes later, we heard the train passing by our room again — same passengers, same drumming, same song — so clearly it was doing the full loop.
It’s a cheap and cheerful way to get around, but don’t expect consistency. Every train we saw was packed, and it appears many locals use it as a form of public transport. While they’re advertised as running every 20 minutes in the evening, you might end up waiting 40 minutes to an hour, depending on the night.
