Well Worth A Visit When In The Sacred Valley

点评：After a mostly failed and disappointing morning, I was walking from Yanahuara, Urubamba back to Ollantaytambo when I happened across the Cerveceria del Valle Sagrado. Prior to my Peru trip, I had even read that there was a brewery in the Ollantaytambo area, but I never had a specific location. And even walking along, and seeing the sign telling me that there was a Cerveceria up the road 200 meters, it didn’t quite register. Fortunately, there was a delivery when I got to their building, and I saw their brewing tanks inside the door. Aha, there's my brew pub!
It was very quiet outside, but a woman changing something on the sign assured me that there were open, and I am damn glad she did. I had been out all morning, walked more than 10 kilometers, and was ready for both food and drink. The one beer that I tried, the Dark Charlie Black IPA, was really good. And the sandwich I had, the Hamburgeusa Royal, was excellent.
Cerveceria del Valle Sagrado is a fairs way out of Ollantaytambo so you have to work to get there – take a taxi or walk the approximately 6 km – but it is worth the effort. I definitely recommend both their food and their beer. Very neat location, nice outdoor seating, and a cool place to hang out.
