点评：Let me break it down for you, just to specify everything..
The website looks very professional and the prices backs it up. We booked a one day south coast birding tour. Wolde sounded very professional on email and we were convinced.
We hired our own driver - as RAJ tour wanted 170$ just to Pick u’s ud in Negril - paying only 60$ both ways.
Upon arrival were met by not only Wolde and Deceita, but also Tashia and Wolde’s daughter who was a “trainee” for the day. At this point me and my girlfriend.end we’re convinced that there’s other birder going with us since we need all those people. I’ve been birding all over the world for 16 years and have never experienced to be accompanied by more than one professional guide.
But it turned out we were the only ones and off we go for a short ride in a minivan with four 2 guide and 2 trainees.
The short drive of approximately 12-15 minutes costed us 40$ and not 30$ as the itinerary showed.
No refreshment en route as stated.
The birds we was were amazing, however voice call were used to get them the monster of them to come. Having the Merlin voice records I could have done this myself and saving all the money.
But the worts part at this time for me was, that Wolde himself had no intention to guide us, he just stood by the car. Deceita Did what she could and Tashia held at certain pointes. Halfway she just gave up and the othe trainee Wolde’s daughter just seed to be bored more and more.
Not the most professional circumstances to work under. The man just spoke to his daughter and we’re directly bossy toward his employees not giving them enough money to buy lunch. That was for us very unprofessional.
After lunch we did get half an hours “birding” before the rain come. Rain has never stopped me from birding. But at this point they just didn’t seed to want to work anymore, so I just gave up and our driver picked us up.
All in all not what I expected and the gap between the price and what you get is just too big.
This trip wasn’t worth more than 30-40$ per person. Only the fact that I got 21 species, and they guide meant we’d seen only 17 proves the lack of professionalism.
Beside the odd birding we had a good lunch.
Conclusion: Would never encourage anyone to pay that amount for what you get on the west coast one day trip.
