Free Bus & Tram - A Good Way of Getting an Overview of the City
Adelaide Metro Free City Connector Bus and Tram的点评
点评:One of the very lovely things that Adelaide offers tourists are free city buses and trams and who doesn’t like free stuff?
In fact the city is small and very walkable and its easy to get around on foot. However the free transport makes it easy for those with mobility issues or small children. Its also a good way of getting an overview of the city when you first arrive.
We were staying n a very central location so we found it most useful for those sights like the Botanic Gardens and Adelaide Oval, that were a little further away, at the fringe of the CBD.
There are two looped city bus routes. One runs around the inner city only (99A/99C) and the other does a larger loop around North Adelaide (98A/98C). Both operate clockwise and anticlockwise.
All of the CBD tram routes are free but it is worth noting that once you go outside the CBD, you will have to pay.
NOTE: Some of the pictures show the Glenelg tram but this one is not free and will cost $5 one way.
