A lovely basic campsite

点评：Myself, husband and son have just come back from a weekend staying at Tarvin Sands. We hired a large pod which was clean, basic and comfortable. Contained a double bed, fold down sofa bed, single cot bed, area to hang coats and a kettle. The outside area had a picnic table but no BBQ or firepit. You had to bring your own bedding.
The shower/toilet block was very basic and not the cleanest. However the water was hot in the shower.
If you are looking for a small pretty site, basic but clean, then this place is perfect. The pictures on the website are not like it is now. The site needs some TLC and with some investment could be a magical place. The cafe is shut undergoing refurbishment and there is not little shop on site. Aldi is a short drive away for provisions.
The lakes are stunning and can imagine for a fisherman if must be heaven. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. There is a bus stop (#82) going into Chester is a short walk away. Check bus times as on Saturday it was only 1 an hour. The bus takes cards and cash. Taxi is quite pricey as 6 miles out of the centre cost us £23.00.
