点评:As a previous reviewer mentioned the steep very uneven steps as you approach the top are very user unfriendly. If you stay on the level paths then fine but the point about the walk is to get to the top and see the view which the map identifies at the entry point. Unfortunately this is a misrepresentation as at the top there is padlocked 5 bar gate through which the view is of fields which back onto the main road from which far better views can be had of the Vale of York. The alternative walk back is similar to the up walk but worse as the paths are very uneven with protruding tree trunks and lots of loose stones which in dry weather make for a slippery descent. Interestingly we had the 2 hour plus walk to ourselves after leaving the level part. It is certainly challenging for those with hip/knee issues and even though I am in that category and managed to do it I would definitely not recommend Millington's steep steps walk for anyone with such conditions. There are many more interesting safer walks in this part of Yorkshire in NT and HHA properties that provide far better facilities, flora and fauna as well as far better access than having to negotiate single track roads.
