点评:Large and varied selection of stock here. Sadly, a great deal of it was somewhat overpriced. Nevertheless, we found in a display cabinet an item we wanted to buy. We summoned an assistant who opened the cabinet and took the item to the till only to announce that it could not be sold that day. Whilst the price and the seller’s identity were known, there was no barcode, hence they couldn't sell. We queried this but the staff at the tills remained obdurate. Despite knowing the price and the identity of the vendor, and the fact that we had no intention to haggle, the item would need returned to display, but on the (well stocked) shelves reserved for such items until the seller visited and rectified the issue. When I asked if there might be a foreseeable timescale for this the - by now visibly irritated - man behind the counter confirmed that they had no idea when the seller might visit and that, additionally, there was no guarantee they would see the item. We left, empty handed and incredulous. Tip: If you have strict policies they need to be backed by some sort of process. The two stars awarded are for the presence of a public piano.
