We booked the PRIVILEGE TOUR, caught the 9:49 train Torino Porta Susa - Pessione, takes about 26 minutes and was 3,60euro. We had a bit of a wait once we arrived, checked out the bar and bakery down the road. The gift shop had a lot of expensive items and glass ware and bottles, nothing that a tourist flying with only carry-on could buy. Our tour was in Italian, it starts with a museum of artifacts from centuries of wine making through to current times. We continued through the production plant to a couple of spots (nothing was operating on the Saturday) and then back for samples. We had a little time before the 13:43 return trip, fortunately there is a cocktail bar after the sample room. The bar (Bar Osteria da Piera) across from the train station sells train tickets if you didn't buy the return. We were already fans of Martini & Rossi Rosso Vermouth and generally any beverage like Chinotto, Cinzano, Borsci San Marzano.
