点评:We had a nice visit here and we appreciated that the square was set up to show support for Ukrainians as were other areas of Tallinn when we visited. The square was also lit up with yellow, white and blue in the evening to represent the colours of Estonia and Ukraine when we visited in December 2024.
The Square is located at the southwest corner of Tallinn's Old Town and has had many different names over the last century or so. It was taken back by the Estonians in 1991 when they restored their independence hence the name. The Victory Column can be found here and it is a unique symbol for Tallinn.
Nearby there is the Kiek in de Kök Fortification Museum, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Toompea Castle. Tallinn's Old Town is packed full of interesting sites and we did a packed itinerary with a self-guided walking tour during our visit to Tallinn.
