点评:Andreas is a walking encyclopaedia of knowledge about orangutans, wildlife and the history of the area. We were incredibly fortunate to have him as a guide. The crew were all first class - they were friendly, attentive and great company to be around. The food was abundant and absolutely delicious. Vegan and vegetarian were not a problem at all!
As a group of 6, the extra beds and mosquito nets had to be brought out each night, but it worked seamlessly. I think 6 would be the maximum that could comfortably fit. The toilet and shower are in a combined area, which took a little getting used to but it worked well. Apparently many parts of the boat and the toilet/shower are undergoing a renovation in November, so the boat will be even better!
As we wanted to get a deeper understanding of the area, Andreas also took us to a palm oil plantation which was eye opening and important to see. Staying on the boat for 4 nights also gave us the opportunity to travel on motorised canoes and visit more remote parts of the river which was an absolute highlight.
I’d definitely recommend Andreas’s tour.
