Picturesque Castle in Gruyeres

点评：We really enjoyed our visit to Gruyeres with this castle, the chocolate and the cheese. We spent a couple of hours at the castle and got some very nice pictures inside and of the surrounding area. The rooms here are wonderfully restored and looking out each window is looking at the perfect fall painting in late October.
There are plenty of picture opportunities at the castle including one of the "Grand Tour" signs. There are some signs to read and some interesting art pieces scattered throughout the property as well. The garden is worth checking out and it is surrounded by a cloister.
We parked in P1 and walked the medieval Cité médiévale de Gruyères shopping street to get to the castle. There are some shops and restaurants along this road but be mindful of delivery trucks in this area. The castle is a short drive to La Maison du Gruyère (cheese factory) and Maison Cailler (chocolate factory) that made for a very memorable day during our time in Switzerland.
