点评：To be honest, I wasn't expecting much......a beach and a couple of seals.
Was I wrong !
The nature reserve is well sign posted and organised into a one-way system, handy given how narrow the rural roads are.
There's a large carpark and a cheerful volunteer at the entrance. The fee is £5, cash only.
It's then a short, if uneven, walk to the viewing area.
This is a breeding site for a colony of grey seals. I really did underestimate how many there would be, literally...hundreds.
The beach area is fenced off to stop people from scaring the creatures, but many of the seals come right up to the viewing area.
You are inches away from these beautiful animals.
There are volunteers dotted around, and they are more than happy to answer any questions.
As a bonus, being next to an airbase, you get a free airshow as the fighters practice their bombing runs.
Highly recommend for animal lovers old and young
