点评：Easy 30 minute drive from Skopje or there are public buses/ tours you can book.
We walked to Nikola monastery which was lovely - start across the blue bridge (under the walkway of the weird house on stilts just after the first car parking area you come to)
Straight forward path following the clear signposts, took us 1hr to the top.
Amazing church with beautiful frescoes inside, not so many people at the top either and plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the view. Some toilets here too.
We then walked down the other side, short and steep maybe 20 mins down and got the short boat ride to the other side where the path back is and main canyon area. There is a ‘gong’ to call for a boat! It’s a metal sign and hammer to grab attention. Didn’t have to wait too long and a boat came over to us.
50 denar for the crossing or 500 for an hour boat trip through the canyon & vrelo cave.
We didn’t have time for the canyon trip but it looked lovely. We enjoyed the trip across though and the easy walk back to the car. Would recommend!
