Easy Bus Rides During Post-Labor Day Visit

点评：We visited Banff after Labor Day so our experience with Roam might be very different from when Banff is overrun with tourists during the peak summer season.
We enjoyed the convenience of the Roam transit system. The bus stops are marked with map signs as well as digital signs indicating the arrival time of the next bus. The buses ran frequently enough so that we waited no more than 15 minutes. The buses do get crowded - unknown if buses run more frequently during the high tourist season to accommodate more riders.
Most routes cost only $2 CAD (or $2 USA) - exact change required and no change provided. Free transfers must be used within limited time period.
Use Roam transit ($2 CAD) to reach popular places such as the Banff Gondola, Lake Minnewanka and the Cave and Basin. For a higher fare, you can ride Roam to Johnston Canyon. Always confirm arrival and departure times - buses run on a 1/2 hour or 1 hour schedule at some of these sites.
Roam buses also go to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake but it is not simply waiting on a bus line for a seat - visit the Roam website and other blogs for details on the confusing options of using either Roam transit or the Parks Canada shuttles to get to the famous lakes.
