G&A Taxis Castle Tours, and more...

点评：We took two private tours (just the bride and me) and we could not have been more pleased. The first tour was to Balmoral Castle. Grant picked us up from our B&B in St. Andrews promptly at 8 am in a brand new Mercedes, and we were on our way. The scenery on the way was like a postcard, as we wound our way through Blairgowrie, Spittal of Glennshee and Braemar. After the castle tour we had lunch at The Boat Inn, and that, in itself, was a highlight. We then made our way to Glamis Castle, which was my favorite stop on this tour. There is more to it, but we absolutely loved the tour.
Our second tour took us to Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, Doune Castle and Trossachs National Park. This tour had spots familiar to Braveheart fans, but I loved the listening tour of Doune Castle. At each station, you can choose to listen to stories about how it related to the Outlander series, or in a lot of cases, stories about Monty Python filming at the castle. Again, the drive was scenic as could be and Grant answered all of our many questions. Oh, I almost forgot. Grant also stopped and gave us an opportunity to feed a Hairy Coo. Now, that was cool. As was Grant, resplendent in his kilt. The whole day was magical and it was because of G&A Taxis.
One more thing...Grant also drove us from St Andrews to Troon on Saturday for The Open. It was that rainy, rainy day and there was no way we Americans could have driven that day (or any other; hence, the tours). Grant was nearby when we were ready to leave. G&A made the whole day worry free.
So, if you are in need of a ride from an airport, or wish to take a tour, I would highly recommend G&A Taxis of St Andrews.
