点评:I went with my son last week, and It is a disgrace that the National Trust can keep this place open.
Now, my son is 19 years old and is very fit (he cycles 3km every week, and walks almost every day) but even he struggled on the uneven, steep steps up to the viewing station (just think how it felt for me, a 60 yo retired pensionar) it was more akin to scrambling up a mountain than going to see a view (maybe a cable car would be a good idea nt) I just can’t see how anyone would bother trekking up half a mountain for a view over windameer and over to Bo’ Ness.
When we did eventually get to the top ( it took over 30minutes) we couldn’t see anything due to mist! (No coffee shop either) A disappointing experience all round. When it came to walking back down again, even my son ,who is a proficient Mountain biker (he can do all the blues and some of the reds) found it steep and scary
I can’t fathom how the National trust can keep this downright dangerous attraction open (CAVLE CAR PLS) with all the scrambling up to the station. For anyone still thinking of making the the trip, dont it’s quite a hike for no views
Rip off
