12 Day Safari in 5 Northern Tanzania Game Parks

点评：My wife and I were booked on a 12 day Safari in Northern Tanzania by our Travel Agent Megan Thompson from Creekside Travel. Our Safari company was Takims Holidays and our driver/guide’s name was Masatu.
This review is primarily to recommend our driver/guide Masatu. He has 17 years experience which was so valuable because he knows how to get to any destination in the parks (the dirt roads are numerous with hundreds of interconnections) and he is amazing at spotting nearly hidden or very distant animals and birds. His knowledge of their names and behaviors is extensive so we leaned a great deal - he enjoys answering any and all questions.
A couple examples: He found us a Martial Eagle that had just killed a baby gazelle and drove us right next to it before and during his feasting on the animal. Another time we encountered an old, cranky elephant blocking the road. He could tell the elephant was angry and after watching it for 20 minutes he was able to drive around it off road so that we could continue safely.
Finally, he gladly worked with us to make adjustments in our daily itineraries. Some hot days we preferred just one long morning drive. Other days we added a late evening drive.
Masatu is a very friendly man who frequently talks to other drivers passing by to get the latest info on what animals are nearby. He clearly initiated many more conversations than did the other drivers.
We highly recommend Masatu with Takims Holidays for Northern Tanzania safaris.
