点评:My family recently visited the centre, and we all had such a wonderful day. Entry is completely free (but donations no matter how small really make a massive difference), and it's an incredible place that's well worth visiting. Seeing the tireless work the staff and volunteers do to care for the animals was truly inspiring.
We also had lunch in the café, which was fantastic. I'd especially like to thank Dave and his wife, June, for the incredible kindness they showed us when my parents van broke down in the car park. They went out of their way to help us, and their compassion meant so much during what could have been a very stressful situation.
Everyone at the centre is doing an amazing job, and they deserve all the support they can get. The centre is currently facing around £1 million of debt and receives no government funding. Sadly, this has already resulted in staff redundancies, and this wonderful place is now at risk of closure.
This centre has rescued and cared for so many animals over the years, and it would be heartbreaking to lose it. If you're able to visit, please do, and if you can, consider making a donation, no matter how small. Every contribution will help them continue their vital work and give many more animals the care and second chance they deserve.
