点评：This park is accessed via several miles of dirt road - your car will be covered in limestone dust! But it's worth it. The beach is beautiful, and it's fun to walk into the old quarry to explore. The quarry area is huge, and like a lunar landscape. Plenty of fossils to find, and each person is allowed to take up to 25 pounds each year. There's a confusing network of paths and trails, and it's easy to get lost. I found it best to use my phone to see where I was relative to the lake and the deeper spots in the quarry (clearly visible on the aerial photo).
Another excellent find on this visit to the park was the northern portion of the property. Access is via a different dirt road - follow signs for Besser Natural Area. The beach is lovely and much easier to walk on than the one near the quarry which was completely covered in large rocks.
