Double the prices, same food but great service

点评：I just had a $100 (casual) dinner at WhiteSpot and I don't think I'll be doing that again very soon. Dinner for two, coffee, tea, two dinners and two desserts. I was shocked at the bill and very disappointed. We go to WhiteSpot because we know what we will get, average food with great service. Unfortunately, it seems the prices have exceeded the value of the food being served because the food has not gotten better, or tastier, or more delicious... it's just the same as it always has been, average. And that's okay, but the prices have almost doubled since 2022 and I just can't justify spending double for something I paid 50% less for two years ago. I'm not making any more money than two years ago, so, Ricky's and Smitty's will have to do for my casual dinner with a friend. Also, if the food costs so much more, there's no wiggle room to leave the bigger tip. And the service at WhiteSpot is always exceptional, I've always left a 20% tip there... but leaving the bigger tip after such a surprisingly expensive dinner adds to the reason why I won't be going there for dinner again. Maybe breakfast, we'll see.
